BEER & BAROQUE at the FIGG
Thursday 18th October – 8pm – James Figg Stables Baroque music as it should be heard. Not in the great concert hall but in the pub! Only 60 tickets available for this unique experience. Grab one, get a beer and pull up a bench to hear this wonderful group from Oxford.
OXUS is an exciting, vibrant and accomplished string quartet, specialising in contemporary repertoire and giving regular recitals and workshops in schools and colleges. They are Oxford based musicians, with musical activities ranging from orchestral leading, to baroque and jazz performance nationally and internationally.
The Rumsey’s Chocolaterie Tea Concert is a TAL institution.
Friday 19th October – 3.30pm – Rumsey’s Chocolaterie Alison Street, Barbara Stuart and Simon Payne are all professional musicians playing in orchestras across the country. As a Wind Trio they will play a selection of delightful music while we enjoy tea and cake.
“GLYNDEBARN“ OPERA ANYWHERE brings the social event of the year to TAL Festival
Friday 19th October – 8pm – Thame Barns Centre
Celebrating the musical taste of Oxford’s most famous detective, Opera Anywhere perform a concert of Inspector Morse’s favourite pieces. Places are extremely limited for this unique concert in Thame’s own Glyndebarn Concert Hall, built specially for the occasion. Black Tie is optional however this will be a social event to rival the great summer concerts! You can book a table or just buy a ticket. Enjoy a complimentary glass of prossecco and bring your own picnic before enjoying a wonderful performance from this talented, professional touring opera.
Thame Chamber Choir Saturday 20th October – 8 PM – St Mary’s church Set in the beautiful surrounds of the knave of St Mary’s Church in Thame, the annual concert from this very talented choir always leaves us breathless.
